The Renovation Process

Discussion of Ideas

When you contact Artisans our first question is, what does your home need to make it more enjoyable and work better for you and your family.  We want to know your needs and ideas.  We’ll schedule an in-home meeting to check out the space and gather some information.  During this time you’ll learn more about our company and how we can provide a better renovation experience.

Preliminary Proposal and Design

Depending on whether you have plans or need us to design your project, our team will create a preliminary design concept and preliminary budget.  If design and budget meet your goals, we’ll enter into a Design Agreement which gives us permission to produce a complete set of plans needed for construction.  During this time we’ll provide a detailed line item cost proposal complete with allowances for finish items such as cabinets, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures etc.  We’ll discuss every aspect of the project with you to make sure it’s exactly what you need and want.

Once we finalize the design and budget, we’ll enter the construction phase and start breaking out the tools!  We’ll discuss scheduling, safe keeping your belongings during construction, pets, jobsite access and security and other logistics to help your project run as smoothly as possible.  There will be daily and/or weekly updates and meetings to keep your design and cost on track.

Our goal is to complete your project in a reasonable timeframe with as little discomfort as possible.  Part of our project completion includes a detailed final cleaning of the renovated space and a quick completion of the final punch list. We offer a 2 year warranty on our labor in addition to any manufacturers warranties already offered.  If you have any problems please call us and we’ll respond quickly.  You will also have the opportunity to review us and our work through GuildQuality and Houzz.
